Overview
Iximab 100mg Injection is a prescription biologic medication containing the active ingredient Infliximab. It is used to treat several chronic, autoimmune inflammatory conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, and severe plaque psoriasis. By targeting specific proteins in the body, Iximab helps reduce inflammation and manage long-term symptoms.

Key Benefits of Iximab
Reduces joint pain, swelling, and stiffness in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
Helps induce and maintain clinical remission in moderate to severe Crohn's disease.
Improves mucosal healing and reduces symptoms in ulcerative colitis.
Decreases spinal inflammation and improves physical function in ankylosing spondylitis.
Clears skin lesions and reduces scaling in patients with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis.
Iximab Ingredients and Usage
Iximab contains Infliximab, which belongs to a class of medications known as monoclonal antibodies or tumor necrosis factor (TNF) blockers. It is prescribed for adults and pediatric patients with moderate to severe active Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis who have not responded well to conventional therapies.
It is also indicated for reducing signs and symptoms, inhibiting the progression of structural damage, and improving physical function in patients with moderately to severely active rheumatoid arthritis, when used in combination with methotrexate.
Additionally, Iximab is used to treat active ankylosing spondylitis, active psoriatic arthritis, and chronic severe plaque psoriasis in patients who are candidates for systemic therapy.
How Does Iximab Work?
Infliximab works by binding specifically to tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha), a naturally occurring cytokine in the body that promotes inflammation. In patients with autoimmune diseases, the body produces too much TNF-alpha, leading to healthy tissue damage and chronic inflammation.
By blocking the action of TNF-alpha, Iximab helps lower the inflammatory response, which reduces joint damage, heals intestinal linings, and clears skin plaques associated with autoimmune disorders.
How to Use Iximab
Iximab 100mg is administered as an intravenous (IV) infusion by a qualified healthcare professional in a clinical or hospital setting.
The infusion is given slowly over a period of time, and patients are monitored closely during and after the procedure for any signs of infusion reactions.
Your doctor will determine the appropriate treatment schedule and duration based on your specific medical condition and response to the therapy.
