Enflor Capsules contain Saccharomyces boulardii, a non-pathogenic, clinical-grade yeast probiotic. This medication is used for the prevention and symptomatic treatment of diarrhea of various origins, including antibiotic-associated diarrhea, traveler's diarrhea, and acute infectious diarrhea. It is also beneficial as an adjunct therapy for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and for restoring the natural balance of gut microflora. How Does Enflor Capsules Work?

Saccharomyces boulardii, the active ingredient in Enflor, works as a "friendly" microorganism. Unlike bacterial probiotics, it is naturally resistant to antibiotics, allowing it to be taken during an antibiotic course. It works by inhibiting the growth of harmful pathogens in the gut and neutralizing bacterial toxins. Additionally, it stimulates the production of digestive enzymes and enhances the intestinal immune response. This dual action helps stabilize the intestinal barrier and restores the healthy bacterial balance necessary for proper digestion.

Enflor Capsules Side Effects

Enflor is generally very well tolerated. In rare cases, some patients may experience flatulence, bloating, or constipation. Systemic fungal infections (fungemia) are extremely rare and typically only occur in severely immunocompromised patients or those with central venous catheters.

List of Warnings:

• Do not mix the capsule contents with very hot or very cold food or beverages, as this can kill the live yeast cells.
• Avoid use in patients with a central venous catheter due to the risk of fungemia.
• Consult a doctor before use if you have a severely weakened immune system.
• If diarrhea persists for more than 2 days or is accompanied by high fever, seek medical attention.

Enflor Capsules Storage Conditions
