Acuron 3 mL Ingredients and Usage
General Anesthesia: To facilitate muscle relaxation during surgical procedures.
Endotracheal Intubation: To provide deep muscle relaxation for airway tube insertion.
Prolonged Muscle Relaxation: During long surgeries.
Mechanical Ventilation Support: To reduce spontaneous muscle activity in ICU patients.
How Does Acuron Work?
Atracurium Besylate is a non-depolarizing neuromuscular blocking agent. It acts by:Binding to acetylcholine receptors at the neuromuscular junction.
Blocking acetylcholine from activating skeletal muscle cells.
Causing reversible muscle paralysis required for surgery and intubation.
Undergoing organ-independent breakdown, mainly via Hofmann elimination and ester hydrolysis—making it safe in patients with renal or hepatic impairment.
Acuron 3 mL Side Effects and Warnings
Common side effects (related to histamine release):
Low blood pressure (hypotension)
Increased heart rate (tachycardia)
Skin flushing
Serious warnings:
Anaphylaxis: Severe allergic reactions may occur. Emergency treatment must be readily available.Histamine Release: Use caution in patients with asthma or cardiovascular disease.Neuromuscular Disorders: Conditions like Myasthenia Gravis greatly increase sensitivity—dose reduction is required.Contraindication: Do not use in patients with known hypersensitivity to Atracurium Besylate.
Acuron 3 mL Storage Conditions
Store refrigerated at 2°C–8°C (36°F–46°F).
Do not freeze.
Protect from light by keeping ampoules in original packaging.
If stored at room temperature (up to 25°C), use within 14 days even if re-refrigerated.
