Kaplan Pathology Slides
Hey everyone! As promised, these are the pathology slides from the USMLE Step 1 DVDs shown by John Barone, MD. They are arranged chapter wise according to the Kaplan pathology text book. The best way to review these slides would be after studying each individual chapter! Good luck. Isra'a Khan (Dow Medical College batch of 2008) [download id="68"]

Travel US-The Pakistani way
Travel US-The Pakistani way   During my last trip to the U.S. I traveled around 8500 miles by road across about 15 states and I realized that there are a lot of things which I need to share with other fellow doctors heading towards the U.S. I am writing this so that you can save every penny that you can during the interview season. The means I am mentioning may not be the most convenient, but definitely the cheapest.

Hello Raafia….It would be best if you can post a question here….the main reason is the questions you ask can help others too…and i give longer detailed replies on this site than on my personal e mails simply cuz i get loads of mails askin the same thing…and it saves me time if u ask on this forum…just go under the topic like if u want to ask abt step 1 go under the step 1 ask a question and it comes straight to me :)

Hi,
I need your help in determining the best way to land an externship/internship/observership/ research position to help in getting good LOR for residency.
I am an IMG from Pakistan, have passed step 1 and currently preparing for step2 ck. I am residing in Newark, DE near Christiana hospital and would like to know if Christiana hospital or any hospitals in nearby states offer any observership or research positions and what would be the best way to search and approach program coordinators. I just can’t seem to figure out how and where to start.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Uroosa

There is no fixed way to do that.. Best if to look up their e mails and e mail them. Go to their hospitals. Be persistent. Many dont offer observerships but take volunteers. I know ppl who started with being volunteers and then got into observerships
